Abandoned LED display screens are transformed into epidemic prevention early warning systems to help precise prevention and control of highways

"Henan **6*31, please pull over and undergo inspection." On the evening of October 9, a suspicious vehicle came to the toll station. The horn sounded in the greenhouse of the epidemic prevention checkpoint in the square outside the Xianju toll station of Zhejiang Provincial Transportation Group. At the same time, the vehicle license plate, entrance station and other vehicle information were simultaneously displayed on the large LED display screen. The staff accurately intercepted the vehicle for inspection.

In order to further assist the local government in precise epidemic prevention and control inspections, we will ensure the first step into the city. Zhejiang Provincial Communications Group Xianju Toll Center used discarded LED displays to transform and upgrade the highway toll station epidemic prevention early warning system. The system was piloted in the Xianju Toll Station under the center.

Before the upgrade, the on-site epidemic prevention and control early warning system only relied on broadcast prompts from wireless broadcast transmitters and wireless speakers in the outer square. When the toll station crossing encountered peak traffic flow, inspectors were prone to be unable to hear or remember vehicle information. The Xianju Toll Center renovated the discarded TV sets and LED displays at the station. Through video transmission lines, relevant information such as vehicle license plates, entrance toll stations, and exit lanes from medium- and high-risk areas were directly projected in the form of text onto the LED display under the epidemic prevention greenhouse at the stuck point, reminding epidemic prevention inspectors to conduct accurate inspections of risk vehicles to ensure that no vehicle or person is missed.

The upgraded early warning system can automatically add and delete medium- and high-risk areas based on real-time epidemic prevention and control policies, allowing staff to better identify vehicles coming from key areas. At the same time, the Xianju Toll Center will also consider opening additional channels based on the existing channels based on traffic flow conditions to comprehensively support epidemic prevention and control and the smooth flow of toll stations.
